Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter, Estelle, will host an evening at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas on Sunday, September 4.
With her highly anticipated new album, All of Me, releasing in early 2012, Estelle will be giving fans an in-depth look into her soul. The first single, “Break My Heart,” serves as the magnetic centerpiece of the album, and features Estelle’s fresh and honest pleas to her lover to spare her heart as she leaps in the abyss of love, while set to a danceable and contagious sound. From seductive euphonies to soaring vocals, there is a duality to All of Me that reflects the many guises of the multitalented chart-topping songstress. The lustrous songs flawlessly demonstrate the richness of her musical history, from hip hop to R&B, from European techno to pop.
Estelle’s climactic rise from local West London MC to Grammy Award-winning artist is the stuff of legends. Born the second of eight children in a strict religious Senegalese/Grenadian family, Estelle learned early on to escape life’s daily pressures through music. Growing up, she was exposed to African and gospel music, as well as reggae and dub. All of which have played an integral role in developing her music today into a unique, original blend of sounds.
Her second album Shine was the first record to release under John Legend’s new Homeschool label, in partnership with Atlantic Records. It featured collaborations with Wyclef Jean, will.i.am, Swizz Beats, Mark Ronson, and John Legend. Her hit single “American Boy,” a collaboration with rapper Kanye West, won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Song Collaboration, as well as being nominated for Song of the Year and many other awards worldwide.
Chateau is open Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 10 p.m. to close. Chateau Tuesdays, the nightclub’s industry night, offers complimentary admission to locals with ID on Tuesday nights.
