Jason Mraz to Perform Special Midnight Performance at The Pearl May 9
Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz brings his funk and soul to The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 11:59 p.m. Special guest James Morrison joins Mraz for this extraordinary midnight show.
Jason Mraz burst onto the adult contemporary and college radio scene in 2002 with the release of his debut album Waiting for My Rocket to Come. With his unique sound and inflection in his voice, Mraz stood out amongst other singer-songwriter artists. Hit radio singles like “You and I Both” and “The Remedy” kept the buzz about the album flowing. In 2005 Mraz released his second studio album, the cleverly titled Mr. A-Z with fan favorites “Geek in the Pink” and “Life is Wonderful.”
We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things was released in 2008 showcasing a more mature sound while continuing the funky hip-hop undertones. Included on the new album is a duet with Colbie Caillat titled “Lucky” and catchy “Make It Mine” is reminiscent of previous work.
English singer-songwriter James Morrison joins Mraz on the stop at The Pearl Concert Theater May 9 as special guest. Morrison’s latest release Songs For You Truths For Me showcases his pop sound with a little soul.
