Pop and R&B sensation Jesse McCartney will headline a concert at Mandalay Bay Beach Saturday, Sept. 13 singing hits from his latest album Departure. The concert will open with Epitaph Records’ new recording sensation The Higher. The concert also will include the world premiere of McCartney’s feature film KEITH. The event is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and the film will begin at 9 p.m.
With several platinum albums and two Emmy nominations, New York native McCartney is building on a foundation that began with him performing in local community musicals at the age of seven. He made his Broadway debut in The King and I when he was nine years old and performed in his first band, Dream Street, at twelve. At sixteen, McCartney launched his solo career and his debut album Beautiful Soul sold more than 1.5 million copies. He also racked up a number of awards at the Teen Choice Awards, including “Choice Male Artist,” “Breakout Artist” and “Crossover Artist.” McCartney exhibits equal talent in his acting career including his Emmy-nominated performances for the role of Adam Chandler Jr. on All My Children.
