This six piece band can jam with the best of them, but they’re no jam band. Railroad Earth is a band that is hard to lump into any one category. Bluegrass influenced with the incorporation of drums and amplifiers.

Formed in 2001 when a group of talented friends informally got together to jam. They made a 5 song demo which earned them a spot at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in June of ’01. Shortly after they recorded 5 additional songs, combined them with their demo tracks and released their debut album, “The Black Bear Sessions.” The band was signed shortly after and released two highly acclaimed albums, “Bird In A House” in 2002 and “The Good Life” in 2004. Their unique acoustic hybrid sound has cultivated them a huge fan base in their decade together. The band is currently touring in support of their new self-titled album, “Railroad Earth.”
