Thousands of New Year’s Eve revelers packed the iconic Fremont Street Experience to celebrate the final moments of 2016. The world’s largest block party was set to an epic soundtrack as Vegas’ own Zowie Bowie hit the 3rd Street stage right outside the D Casino Hotel to pump up the crowd with an energetic performance. What a way to wrap up the year!

Invited casino guests were treated to an “around the world” themed party in the D’s Detroit Ballroom. Guests enjoyed cuisine tailored to different countries while they mingled with members of the D Executive team. Owner Derek Stevens, wife Nicole, and daughter Whitney welcomed guests as they toasted to another great year. The party didn’t end there; Derek and Nicole brought the celebration to the LONGBAR before heading outside to watch Vegas ring in the new year.

The D’s Flair Bartenders wowed the crowd with their skills at the world famous LONGBAR. Standing out among the swarm of party-goers were “Counting Cars” reality TV stars, Horny Mike and Ryan Evans. Decked out in bright pink and blue fur jackets, they knew exactly where to bring that flair of their own. The famous duo met up with the talented Chef Joe at the property’s award-winning Andiamo Steakhouse. The guys made pit-stops at all of the D’s famous locations as they partied the night away and posed for pictures with eager fans.

In the midst of the screaming fans stood another star; all 7 foot 8 inches of Guinness World Records holder, George Bell! He was busy enjoying a couple of drinks at the LONGBAR and taking selfies to new heights with fans. It was quite the sight to see these fun stars having a great time in one awesome place.

The first day of the new year brought the first big win at the D Casino Hotel! One lucky guest scored a massive jackpot of $690,000 on the D’s popular Buffalo slot machine. It was the biggest jackpot Owner Derek Stevens had ever witnessed. He congratulated the ecstatic winner personally and subsequently wished her a happy new year.
