Blind Center of Nevada’s New Visions of Greatness Center Now Available for Public and Private Events
The Blind Center of Nevada
, one of Southern Nevada’s oldest nonprofits, has begun accepting reservations for corporate and social events at its new Visions of Greatness Center

The newly constructed $8.4 million, 35,000-square-foot building allows the community’s only full-service day center dedicated to empowering blind and visually impaired adults to increase its membership and offer a full suite of new programs.

At the same time, the new Visions of Greatness Center provides a means to generate funds for the nonprofit by accommodating groups that need gathering spaces for weddings, corporate events and meetings.

“The event space is a critical component to the overall success of our organization,” says Blind Center President Cory Nelson. “Every dollar we earn on events will be reinvested into the Blind Center and its mission to help the blind live a more fulfilling life.”

In addition to the space available for gatherings, the Visions of Greatness events facilities include options for food, live musical entertainment and onsite event management.

In fact, newly appointed Blind Center Executive Chef Gerald Ward and the staff at Blind Center of Nevada developed an events-focused menu for large events such as weddings and corporate gatherings. Event attendees will be served by visually impaired hospitality and kitchen staff trained at the organization’s Culinary Arts Academy.
