Donut Mania and Jennifer Romas Create the ‘Sexxy’ Doughnut April 8 with Proceeds to Benefit Noah’s Animal House
Jennifer Romas, producer, choreographer, and star of ‘Sexxy’ at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino has teamed up with Donut Mania to create a sparkly sweet treat with proceeds benefiting Noah’s Animal House (Photo credit: Perspective Marketing & Co.)
The limited edition doughnut will be available starting April 8 and until May 8, at all four Donut Mania locations.
Jennifer Romas will host a meet-and-greet at the Donut Mania Summerlin location on Sunday, April 8 from Noon to 2 p.m. Fans will be able to take photographs, get autographs and enjoy the sweet treat while supporting a beloved local charity.
The new doughnut features decadent white frosting, silver glitter and topped with the word “Sexxy,” written in fabulous purple handwriting. Of every ‘Sexxy’ doughnut purchased, $1 will be donated to Romas’ charity of choice, Noah’s Animal House (NAH), the first full-service stand-alone pet boarding facility in the country where women in abusive situations can have a place to go that includes their pets, some of which are abused as well. NAH is on the grounds of The Shade Tree Shelter, the largest women and children’s domestic violence shelter in Southern Nevada.
Commenting on the choice of NAH, Romas said: “To walk away from something or someone that hurts you is not easy, contrary to anyone’s beliefs. These women who stand up for themselves and are willing to walk away from everything that they know, to seek help, are truly heroes and survivors, and because they are selfless, they won’t walk away without their family or those that can’t fight for themselves. The healing process begins with love, and sometimes that unconditional love is from our pets. NAH & Shade Tree, your mission is remarkable. I thank Donut Mania for making this collaboration possible.”
Donut Mania, the ultimate doughnut and ice cream experience, is owned by reality star Brett Raymer of the hit television show “Tanked” on Animal Planet and founder Wayne Linsk. The shop offers over 50 varieties of doughnuts, as well as milkshakes and doughnut ice cream sandwiches. Prices range from $1.50 for classics and $2.50 for gourmets. Donut Mania has four locations 4460 South Durango Drive, Suite D in Spring Valley, 725 South Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, 6320 Simmons Street in Aliante, 1930 Village Center Circle Ste. 4 in Summerlin.
