Dress for Success Southern Nevada to hold Annual Power Walk on July 29 at Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas
Dress for Success Southern Nevada, the local nonprofit that provides professional clothing and career development tools to empower women to achieve economic independence, will host its annual Power Walk at Miracle Miles Shops inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Saturday, July 29.
Featuring the theme “One Mile in Style,” participants are encouraged to walk as individuals or create teams to show off their summer style while visiting health and beauty vendors during this unique event. Southwest Medical Associates is again the generous title sponsor of the event, and Lindsey Simon, fashion blogger (The Nomis Niche) and TV show host (Las Vegas NOW on KLAS -Channel 8), will be the emcee. Proceeds of the event will benefit the charity’s programs that support women in the Las Vegas valley.
“At Dress for Success, we recognize that health and wellness is essential for the women in our programs as they learn to balance a career with their personal responsibilities,” said Paula Lawrence, executive director of Dress for Success Southern Nevada. “The majority of women we serve are mothers, so promoting healthy lifestyles positively impact both these women and their families.”

Leading up to the event and throughout July, Miracle Mile Shops will turn its fountain pink and collect donations for Dress for Success Southern Nevada as part of its Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, which raises funds for nonprofit programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations.
