Ferraro’s Features Malvira Winery for “Taste & Learn” Wine-Pairing Event January 26
On Saturday, Jan. 26 at 5 p.m., Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar will feature spectacular wines from the Malvira vineyard for its next Taste & Learn event, the popular monthly wine event known for bringing award-winning, high-quality Italian wines to Las Vegas.

The Malvira winery is located in the heart of Piedmont’s prestigious Roero wine country. The family-owned and operated business began production in the 1950s under visionary winemaker Giuseppe Damonte. Today, the business is run by Giuseppe’s sons, Massimo and Roberto Damonte, who have seen the vineyard evolve to meet its grape-growing potential, producing spectacular wines inspired and informed by their father’s vision.

Meanwhile, the brothers’ wives run a 13-room luxury hotel and restaurant on the grounds. The family is passionate about their wine and business collaborations and plan to keep the vineyard family-owned and operated for many generations to come. Their passion is evident in each wine produced, as attendees at this event will surely experience.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy delectable bites prepared by Executive Chef Francesco DiCaudo, starting with a starter of octopus, escarole and an Italian buffalo mozzarella paired with the refreshing and savory white wine, the Roero Arneis.

The evening’s fresh pasta course will be tagliatelle accompanied by highly seasoned veal sweetbread and lentils. The wine accompanying the dish is the Barbera d’Alba, a powerful red that possesses an intense fruit flavor.
