Ruth is multi-instrumental playing guitar, banjo, accordion, piano and bodhran as well as being a talented songwriter.  She was a finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition and was recognized by the International Songwriting Competition for her song “One Voice,” which has gone on to be a signature song for The Wailin’ Jennys.

Ruth announced her long-awaited US tour following the spring release of These Wilder Things, her second solo release for Red House Records. The album’s transcendent collection of songs received acclaim from such publications as American Songwriter, Huffington Post and The London Telegraph, to name just a few. Now, after a European tour with Mark Knopfler (at his invitation – he appears on her album) and dates in her native Canada, Moody is bringing her band and songs to the U.S., including a concert in Henderson, Nevada at The Henderson Pavilion.
