This year’s contest theme is “Inspire-Be-Inspired.” Artists’ work will interpret sources of inspiration, illustrate ideas about creativity, vision, and the power of imagination. Artists will be assigned a work area; check-in is at 8:00, and work must be completed by 5 p.m. Artists must bring their supplies. The jury will review artwork at 5 p.m., and winners will be announced at 5:35 p.m.

“This is the third year for our juried chalk art competition that’s attracted a diverse group of local artists from talented youth to more seasoned artists who are excited to experiment with chalk art,” said DC Graham, chief marketing & development officer for Olympia Companies, developer of Skye Canyon. “This is a time for artists to come together and celebrate our valley as a creative force.”

Skye Canyon is also offering up to 30 free 10 x 10 booths at the vendor village where local artists can showcase and sell their work at no cost. This opportunity is open to artists in a variety of mediums that include but are not limited to paint, sketch, pottery, jewelry, boutique, pencil/charcoals, sculpture, photography, woodwork, among others. The deadline for consideration is September 15. Those interested can apply for a booth a https://forms.gle/rwCtAXxWLL9xYu1Z6
