On Thursday, May 14, 2015, Three Square Food Bank received a donation of $30,000 and 3,066 pounds of food from the Check City Checks Hunger food drive, which took place March 10 through April 6 (Photo credit: Cindy Gates/Three Square).
Customers and employees were encouraged to make donations of non-perishable food or funds at the 30 Check City locations in Las Vegas.
Through the event, nearly $15,000 was raised, which Check City rounded up and matched to equal a gift of $30,000, providing 90,000 meals for hungry people in Southern Nevada. Additionally, 85 Check City employees volunteered time at Three Square in support of the campaign.
