Ring in the holiday season at Town Square with the arrival of Santa Claus on November 15 at 7 p.m. as he joins his friends in a festive parade and tree lighting celebration.
The parade will feature a variety of holiday characters, including performers from Nevada Ballet Theater’s The Nutcracker. Spectators can see the start of the parade near the West Valet by Yard House, and the parade will end at the Norman Rockwell-inspired Santa house in Town Square Park. Once Santa reaches Town Square Park, he will light the 45-foot Christmas tree and snow will begin to fall. Following the snowfall, children can take photos with Santa inside his house.
Santa’s Arrival
To celebrate the holidays, Town Square will be outfitted with Norman Rockwell Holidays, six life-size vignettes which will be on display throughout the center starting November 15. The vignettes are interactive replicas of several covers Norman Rockwell created for The Saturday Evening Post. Informational audio will take visitors on an educational journey back in time, and patrons can enjoy them at no cost.
The holiday season at Town Square will bustle with activities for the whole family. Highlights include:
- Photos with Santa Claus – Bring the kids to take photos with Santa Claus at his Norman Rockwell-inspired house in Town Square Park to make this holiday season a memory that will last forever. Santa will be on hand November 16 through December 24 and available for photos Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. He breaks for milk and cookies Monday through Saturday from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday from 2:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. You can avoid the lines and use the Town Square Santa Fly By Reservation system. - Snow in the Square – The snow shows kick off on November 15 in Town Square Park and run through December 23. Shows take place Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. and Friday through Sunday at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Each show lasts 10 minutes and is choreographed to holiday music.
- Holiday Nights & Lights Community Concerts – Join elementary to high school aged students in Town Square Park every Thursday at 6 p.m. from November 21 through December 19 as they demonstrate the spirit of the season through song.
- Claus & Paws Pet Photos – Bring your furry friends to Santa’s House for a special photo to mark the holiday season. Pet photos start on November 20 and take place every Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Please limit pet photos to dogs and cats only. Pet photos run through December 19.
