Lamar Odom is back on the Vegas nightlife radar just one week after his DUI arrest.
You heard that right. The 46-year-old was spotted Saturday night at C3 Lounge, near the Las Vegas Strip. He appeared to be strictly there on business. However, his presence at the hot spot sparked public interest amid the events of the previous week.
Lamar Odom’s DUI Arrest Is Not Holding Him Back

The Lakers icon was back in Sin City’s nightlife after being pulled over by the Nevada Highway Patrol on suspicion of DUI. The patrol officers in charge also recorded excessive speeding and an improper lane change during the arrest. Officers also reported that his vehicle was traveling about 106 mph, more than 41 mph above the posted limit. Upon further inspection, they noticed bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of marijuana before arresting him.
Despite the recent arrest, Odom was photographed at C3 Lounge near South Decatur Boulevard. He mingled with guests and appeared relaxed as he introduced people to his new spirits line. According to TMZ, he was not drinking alcohol during the outing and spent the evening interacting with visitors and posing for photos.
A few days after his arrest made headlines, Odom spoke to the news outlet. During the brief chat, he denied being intoxicated when the highway officers accosted him. However, he relayed that he was “learning from the experience.” The sports star added, “I remain committed to my continued growth. I’ve worked hard to rebuild my life, and taking responsibility is an essential part of that process.”
Odom also mentioned that he was “cooperating fully” with authorities while “staying honest, and focused on moving forward with integrity. The star also seized the opportunity to thank fans and his loved ones for their constant support.
Officers Had A Different Story

Contrary to Odom’s account of what transpired, police records indicated irregularities in his sobriety test. Authorities reported an “overwhelming odor of Marijuana” in his car. Moreso, Lamar Odom’s initial confession before his DUI arrest showed that he smoked marijuana hours before the incident.
The ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian appeared to change his narrative when he told officers that his passenger had been smoking. He also admitted that he drove like he was in “Back To The Future.” Odom was said to have struggled to maintain his balance during the test. He failed to touch the tip of his nose six times, the walk-and-turn modified Romberg balance, and the pne leg stand exercises.
The basketball icon’s features also showed unusual signs, including eyelid tremors and unsteady gait. Odom started the test too early, missed heel-to-toe steps, and stepped off the line.
Odom Has Come A Long Way

During the examination with patrol officers, Odom was asked if he had a traumatic brain injury in his medical history. Reports showed that he responded by laughing as he mentioned “12 strokes and soic heart attacks.”
This is reminiscent of his past battle with drug use, and a life-changing healthscare that made him turn his life around. Lamar Odom’s first DUI in 2013 happened in California, and it was followed by a drug-laced incident that left him on life support. Ultimately, he recovered his health under the care of his then-wife, Khloe Kardashian.
