There May Be a Third Wynn Resort Tower in Las Vegas in the Future
Construction on a third Wynn Resort tower on the Las Vegas Strip may begin as soon as 2025, according to local government documents.
Previously, Wynn Resorts had received approval from the Clark County Zoning Commission on development plans for a new resort that could be located across from the hotel and casino’s main campus, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Recently, the Commission voted to extend the development plans. As a result, the resort has committed to build out the plans — with a construction start deadline of April 2026.
Reportedly, the plans cover a 1,100 room resort with a 28,000-square-foot of casino floor space. The 34.6 acre site would also feature 85,000 square feet of convention center space, which could make the third Wynn resort one of the best event spaces in Las Vegas.
Wynn Resorts originally bought the land, which was the former site of the New Frontier hotel, back in 2017 for $336 million. Previously, development plans were for a project known as Alon Las Vegas, but those fell through.
Although the plans mean that a third Wynn Resort could land on the Las Vegas Strip by the end of the 2020s, there still isn’t a clear timeline for development, construction, opening.
