A player at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas struck gold over the weekend when they turned a $3 bet into a $2.1 million jackpot.
Reportedly, a guest from outside of Las Vegas was playing the Wheel of Fortune slots when they won a jackpot totaling $2,170,581.77. Even more incredibly, the out-of-town guest had under a dollar left on the machine when they hit the big time.
If you’re not familiar with the Palms Casino Resort, it’s one of the best Las Vegas hotels off the strip, and also a popular spot for gaming of all types.
No other details about the guest were available, except for the fact that they were apparently part of Club Serrano, or the Palms Casino Resort’s perks and loyalty program, according to local news outlet 3News Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is, of course, known to be a hotspot for gaming, and jackpots like the $2.1 million jackpot just won by the guest happen every now and then. However, it’s important to keep in mind that jackpots like these are newsworthy because they’re rare.
