Substance nightclub seems like something straight out of classic Las Vegas Strip history. However, it’s located north of the Strip in Downtown Las Vegas. The 18,000-square-foot space was reportedly built for locals, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

With a “chic warehouse” vibe, the nightclub also features a 100-foot-long video wall that pulsates behind the DJ booth. The rest of the space is minimal in design, leaving plenty of room for club-goers to dance the night away.

Substance Nightclub is owned and operated by RVLTN Events, which has long served as the backbone of the Las Vegas dance music scene. It has promoted shows all over the city, from sleek outdoor events to parties at some of the best day clubs in the city.

To that end, it’s about the things that make a night out enjoyable. There will be affordable drinks served at a long bar that features multiple service stations. To avoid long lines for the rest, Substance features about 30 restrooms in total.

The end result? A nightclub that does away with all the faults of splashier Strip venues. According to RVLTN Executive Talent Buyer Joe Borusiewicz, that was the intention all along.

“People don’t like to have to walk through a casino to go to a show. You don’t want to have to pay $50 for parking because there’s some event going on down the street. You don’t want to spend a fortune on drinks,” he told the Review-Journal. “The demand is certainly there … so, we think Substance can be a missing piece in a lot of different ways for the music scene here.”
