Spelling, 52, announced the cancellation of her Las Vegas event on December 26, telling fans that she was too ill to host the 90s-themed party. The TV star revealed that she had been counting down to the show.  “This hurts to share, but I need to be honest with you,” she wrote. “I’m sick and have to postpone our After Dark event this Sunday night in Las Vegas.”

The cancellation came just days before the party was to take place at Voltaire, a nightclub and event space within The Venetian resort. Spelling did not disclose details about her specific illness. However, she emphasized that she needed to “listen to my body and choose my health.” She also thanked fans for their support and promised that a new date for the event would be announced soon.

Spelling’s co-host for the event, 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green, had been promoting the party earlier in the holiday week. He posted on Instagram, encouraging fans to join him and Spelling at the event following a Backstreet Boys concert at the Sphere. However, as at the time of Spelling’s post, Green had not publicly commented on the postponement.

Spelling’s Instagram announcement did not provide specifics about her health condition, though she reiterated the need to prioritize wellness.  The post closed with gratitude for fan support and a message of anticipation for seeing everyone “After Dark soon.”

The cancellation follows a year in which Spelling has confronted several personal and health challenges. Back in May 2023, the “Saved By the Bell” actress revealed how she and her kids had been battling a mold problem. According to People, Spelling noted at the time that it had been “slowly killing” them for three years. She described how her family dealt with a “continual spiral of sickness for months,” leading to a need for urgent care.
