Free NHRA Driver Autograph Session at The Palms April 2

A free NHRA driver autograph session will kick off the annual NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals, April 2-5, at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The autograph session will take place in the Key West Room of The Palms Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Thursday, April 2, from 6-8 p.m. Drag racing fans are invited to obtain autographs and take photos with their favorite drivers.

Drivers scheduled to appear include: Tony Schumacher, Jeg Coughlin Jr., Cruz Pedregon, Ron Capps, Antron Brown, Jack Beckman, Kurt Johnson, Morgan Lucas, Shawn Langdon, Urs Erbacher, Matt Hagan, Jeff Arend, Johnny Gray, Kenny Koretsky and Bob Bode. Many more are expected to join the festivities.

Twice each year, the NHRA delivers the biggest names in professional drag racing to The Strip at LVMS for side-by-side, nitro-burning, 300-mph action. The cavalcade of straight-line stars includes six-time NHRA Top Fuel Dragster champion Tony Schumacher and 13-time NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Funny Car titleholder John Force.

7:30 a.m. – Spectator gates open.
7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. – Registration and tech inspection (all categories).
8 a.m. – Sportsman qualifying.
4 p.m. – Comp Eliminator qualifying session.
6 p.m. – Track closed; Free NHRA driver autograph session at The Palms Resort & Casino begins.

Friday, April 3 – Free admission for all active military personnel with ID
7:30 a.m. – Spectator gates open.
7:30 a.m.-noon – Registration and tech inspection (Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car only).

8 a.m. – Sportsman eliminations. Noon – Comp Eliminator qualifying session.
12:30 p.m. – Pro Stock qualifying session.
1 p.m. – Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session.
2 p.m. – Top Alcohol (Funny Car and Dragster) qualifying session.
3 p.m. – Comp Eliminator qualifying session.
3:30 p.m. – Pro Stock qualifying session.
4 p.m. – Top Fuel Dragster and Funny Car qualifying session.
5 p.m. – Top Alcohol (Funny Car and Dragster) qualifying session.
6:30 p.m. – Track closed.

Saturday, April 4
7:30 a.m. – Spectator gates open.
8 a.m. – Sportsman eliminations.
11:30 a.m. – First round of Comp Eliminator.
Noon – Pro Stock qualifying session.
12:30 p.m. – Top Fuel Dragster and Funny Car qualifying session.
1:30 p.m. – Top Alcohol (Funny Car and Dragster) qualifying session.
3 p.m. – Pro Stock qualifying session.
3:30 p.m. – Top Fuel Dragster and Funny Car qualifying session.
4:30 p.m. – First round of Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car eliminations.
5 p.m. — Spectator gates open at the Bullring for local short-track stock car racing, including USAC Midgets and NHRA driver exhibition race.

6:30 p.m. – Track closed.

Sunday, April 5
7:30 a.m. – Spectator gates open.
9 a.m. – Sportsman eliminations.
10 a.m. – Pre-race ceremonies.
11 a.m. – Final eliminations begin.
4:30 p.m. – Track closed.
