Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club, voted “Best Gentlemen’s Club” in Las Vegas in 2015 by Las Vegas Review Journal in their annual reader poll, is has announced that special guest, UFC Bantamweight Miesha “Cupcake” Tate will host a UFC 193: Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm viewing party in the Showroom at Sapphire Las Vegas on Saturday, November 14th starting 7pm.
Commonly referred to as “Cupcake” and “Takedown,” Miesha Tate is a celebrated mixed martial artist with accomplishments and accolades including: Strikeforce Bantamweight Champion, Freestyle Cage Fighting Champion, 2011 Female Fighter of the Year, and more. Tate is known for her extensive knowledge of ground-based arts including wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and submission defense. In 2011 Tate won the Strikeforce Bantamweight Championship by becoming the first woman to ever submit Marloes Coenen in an MMA bout. In UFC 183, Tate out-grappled Olympic wrestling medalist Sara McMann for the win. Following her first bout with champion Ronda Rousey in 2012, Rousey described Tate as “much more savvy on the ground then I anticipated.” Miesha is Rousey’s most hated opponent, despite the current champion having already beaten her twice.
Tate was originally scheduled to fight Rousey but news came that Rousey would fight Holm instead while Miesha Tate and Holly Holm were on the set of a new movie called “Fight Valley” also featuring Cris Cyborg.
