Spiderman, FDNY Help Wranglers Celebrate “Heroes Night” Feb. 4

On Saturday, Feb. 4, the Las Vegas Wranglers will host “Heroes Night” to honor police, firefighters, and military personnel as the team takes on the Alaska Aces, the defending Kelly Cup champions.

The Wranglers have partnered with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, and FDNY to hold the first charity Guns ‘n’ Hoses hockey game between Las Vegas police and firefighters and the New York City fire department. Taking place at 3:00 p.m. inside the Orleans Arena on Feb. 4, LVMPD Sheriff Doug Gillespie and North Las Vegas Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan will be dropping the first pucks.

Tickets for the Guns ‘n’ Hoses game can be purchased for only $10 by calling the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-7825. A portion of the proceeds from tickets sold will go to benefit the Injured Police Officers Fund of Nevada and the Nevada Burn Foundation, and include admission to the Wranglers game at 7:05 p.m. that same night. Fans that already have tickets to the Wranglers vs. Aces game can obtain a pass to enter the Guns ‘n’ Hoses game with a $3 donation to the participating charities.

For the Wranglers vs. Aces game at 7:05 p.m., the first 1,000 kids age 12 and under will receive a free Wranglers superhero cape. Spiderman will also be live on the concourse for photos and autographs, and the Henderson Police Department will compete against the North Las Vegas Fire Department in a broomball game on the ice in SWAT and fire gear during the first intermission. A variety of emergency vehicles will be stationed outside the Orleans Arena for fans to see up close before the game as well.
