Wranglers Play Solar Bears, Toss Teddy Bears on Dec. 1
For the 10th season in a row, the Las Vegas Wranglers will host a Teddy Bear Toss, sponsored by Cricket Wireless, during the team’s game against the Orlando Solar Bears on Saturday, Dec. 1. The stuffed animals collected will then be donated to Sunrise Acres Elementary School in eastern Las Vegas (Photo credit: John Bosworth).
Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used teddy bears and stuffed animals to Saturday’s game to toss onto the ice after the Wranglers score their first goal. Cricket stores across the Vegas valley also have donation boxes set up to collect stuffed animal donations before Dec. 1, and fans who drop off toys at Cricket locations will receive a voucher good for a $6 ticket to upcoming Wranglers games. Stuffed animals collected by Cricket will be handed out during Saturday’s game for empty-handed fans to throw in celebration.
On the road through the Thanksgiving holiday, the Wranglers return home to face the San Francisco Bulls on Nov. 29 and open the two-game series against the Solar Bears on Nov. 30. After the Dec. 1 game, fans can also enjoy a live concert from Louis Prima Jr. and his swing band, the Witnesses.
