The 2020 season will be Las Vegas Raiders’ 51st in the National Football League (NFL), and the first in which they play in Las Vegas. The home ground is the new Allegiant Stadium, opened in July. The construction costs were almost $2 billion.
This is the third relocation of the Raiders, who previously played the home ground matches in Oakland, in the San Francisco area.
Coach Jon Gruden is leading the team for the third year in a row, and he will have some big names in the roster, like Josh Jacobs, Darren Waller, and Rodney Hudson.
The team had a good start of season, with wins against the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints, but lost the following two with New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills. The next game at the Allegiant Stadium will be on October 25th, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
But who are the greatest NFL stars that will come to play in this season on the Allegiant? Here is a few of them:
Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs quarterback)
The last Super Bowl champion and MVP, and also the 2018 NFL MVP, Mahomes is the biggest star that will play on Allegiant Stadium this season. He was twice in the Pro Bowl (2018 and 2019), and at 25 years of age he just signed the largest contract in American professional sports history (over half of billion dollars for the next 10 years).
Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback)
The former New England Patriots legend (2000-2019) is the player with the most Super Bowl rings (six). He was four times the Super Bowl MVP, and three times the MVP of the NFL season. His current team, the Buccaneers, is the next to show up on the Allegiant. And, at 43 years of age, he still is an NFL superstar.
Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints quarterback)
The former Super Bowl champion and MVP, now 41 years old, has the longest streak of seasons with 4,000 passing yards (12). The past three seasons have just been better and better for him, owning the top single-seasons marks in completion percentage in the NFL history.
Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs tight end)
At 30 years old, Kelce is the first tight end in NFL history with four straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons. A Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs last year, the Ohio-born has five consecutive Pro Bowls (2015-2019).
Alvin Kamara (New Orleans Saints running back)
Kamara has 81 catches in each of his three seasons with the Saints, and also three Pro Bowls (2017-2019). Actually, he is one of just four players in the league’s history to have 2,000 rushing yards and 2,000 receiving yards in the first three seasons. Now 25 years, the running back is originally from Atlanta.
Von Miller (Denver Broncos linebacker)
He was the Super Bowl MVP four years ago, when the Broncos won the Super Bowl. Featuring regularly in the Pro Bowl, Miller is currently an injured reserve in the roster. At 31 years, Miller has plenty ahead to show.
Joey Bosa (Los Angeles Chargers defensive end)
Bosa is the first Chargers player with a $100 million contract, and the best paid defensive player. He is in the league since 2016, and has two Pro Bowls (2017 and 2019). In 2016, he won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. The 25 years old is born in Florida, but went to college in Ohio.
