Bodies…The Exhibition Featuring Special Exhibits for World Lung Cancer Day
In observance of World Lung Cancer Day on Sunday, Aug. 1, BODIES…The Exhibition is raising awareness with displays of healthy and unhealthy lungs to motivate guests to take the first step in quitting smoking by leaving their tobacco products in a glass drop box. BODIES…The Exhibition provides visitors an intimate look at how the body functions, and stimulates their hearts and minds, while educating visitors about lung health and respiratory dangers. Situated in the respiratory gallery next to the display of lungs sits a dropbox where guests are encouraged to deposit their tobacco products after seeing the effects smoking can have on their lungs in an effort to create healthier living habits. In addition to smoking and the use of tobacco products, environmental factors such as exposure to radon and air pollution put one at a higher risk of lung cancer.
Did you know? The relaxed sensation that smokers experience while smoking is a return to the normal unstressed state that non-smokers feel all the time.
Featuring more than 275 real human bodies and specimens, BODIES…The Exhibition, The Strip’s premier educational entertainment attraction, has been described as a “life-changing experience.” Real human bodies have been meticulously dissected, preserved through an innovative process, and are respectfully presented, allowing visitors the unprecedented opportunity to view the beauty and complexity of the body’s organs and systems.
