The Venetian Resort Salutes World’s First Responders During Saturday Evening ‘Earth Hour’
As a tribute to the extraordinary efforts of the first responders worldwide to help protect us from COVID-19, the resort strategically illuminated several guest suites in The Venetian tower to spell out the word “LOVE.”
The LOVE message will continue to be displayed nightly at 8:30pm (for one hour) in an ongoing tribute to medical personnel and first responders from around the world.
On Saturday, March 28, the exterior lights at The Venetian Resort, including The Venetian and The Palazzo towers, were turned off in support of Earth Hour, the worldwide environmental campaign to raise global awareness of climate change by encouraging eco-conscious individuals, communities, and businesses to switch off their lights for one hour. This was the 12th year of The Venetian Resort’s participation in Earth Hour.
As the coronavirus crisis continues, the resort will continue to demonstrate the message of love, hope, and goodwill through messages spelled out in the resort’s suite lights.

As the world continues to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the 9,300 team members of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and Las Vegas Sands stand in support of the people of Italy, who have suffered unthinkable loss. We know that there have now been more deaths in Italy than in China where the virus originated.
The Venetian Resort was inspired by the spirit of Italy and her people. This spirit endures even through the current crisis, as Italians are sharing a message of hope with a slogan of reassurance: “Andrà tutto bene” – or “everything will be all right.”
In a show of solidarity, the building signs of both The Venetian and The Palazzo towers were changed for both towers, with The Venetian displaying the green, white and red colors of the flag of Italy, and The Palazzo displaying the red, white and blue colors of the flag of the United States of America.
