Massive Casino Wins Flood Into Downtown Las Vegas

From your favorite machines and tables to the ambiance that this city was built on, Fremont Street continues to uphold the traditions that many think have gone away from Las Vegas. For that old Vegas vibe and that old Vegas luck, downtown is the place to be.

This week, during a slower Tuesday afternoon on the Circa Las Vegas casino floor, a long-time player of Golden Gate hit it BIG at the Face Up Pai Gow table. The unexpected payout came to this Wisconsin native after several hours of playing at the tables. He placed a $5 bet and was dealt a 7-card straight flush, the top jackpot for this game. He hit with the Ace-8 of diamonds! The total stand-alone jackpot at the time of playing was $385,000, but he had placed his $5 bet on the fortune bonus and hit for an additional $25,000. It is also worth mentioning that we heard this table has not hit in almost two years. Talk about living large in Las Vegas!

As soon as he realized what he had won, guests started to surround the table near the sportsbook to see what the commotion was. We hear the guest was nearly speechless and could not believe what had just happened. He had mentioned to the dealer that he almost sat down at another table before landing on this one. Just before this jackpot was hit, the Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em jackpot was up to $582,000. We hope he treated himself and his wife to a well-deserved Tomahawk dinner at Barry’s Downtown Prime. At least that is the first place we would go if we were lucky enough to win even a fraction of that.

For those who may be unfamiliar with how Pai Gow or stand-alone jackpots work, this jackpot is separate from the rest of the properties’ progressive jackpots. This builds solely based on wagers placed on this game and property, alone. This growth is done at a steadier pace, which is why this win is so significant. This pot has been growing over time with the contributions of guests who have only sat at this table at Circa Las Vegas, and has now been reset to the base amount.
