Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation to Host Lunch with the Sheriff Fundraiser on July 24th
On Wednesday, July 24, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation will host their fourth annual Lunch with the Sheriff at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa in Summerlin.
Supporters from around the Valley will hear from Sheriff Joe Lombardo as he addresses attendees about current LVMPD and LVMPD Foundation initiatives and plans for the future.
For the first time, this year’s luncheon will feature equipment and technology exhibits from multiple law enforcement units within LVMPD and will provide an exciting and interactive experience for the attendees to meet with officers and learn more about their latest advancements in public safety. This event has been designed to continue to develop stronger relationships between the community and officers, allowing participants to get to know their LVMPD heroes in uniform and learn more about how they work to keep the community safe each and every day.
“We take great pride in hosting Lunch with the Sheriff each year because it allows us to connect LVMPD with community and business leaders and the general public in a productive and informative way,” said Tom Kovach, executive director of the LVMPD Foundation. “The LVMPD Foundation is leading efforts to bring a new, state-of-the-art Reality Based Training Center to Southern Nevada and we look forward to updating attendees on the status of this important project, which will provide critical, life-saving training to local, state and national law enforcement officers and first responders.”
Funds raised will directly support community safety programs, including the construction of the Reality Based Training Center in Southern Nevada, as well as additional crime-fighting equipment and technology.
