$1,000,000 Buy-in Poker Tournament at World Series of Poker Kicks Off July 1 at 1:11 pm at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino
The most anticipated poker event in tournament poker history is set to kick off this Sunday at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino. Officially it is WSOP Event #55, but it’s better known as THE BIG ONE FOR ONE DROP.
More than 40 businessmen, card sharks and philanthropists have each anted $1,000,000 to participate in the highest stakes poker game on the planet where the winner is expected to walk away with more than $15,000,000 and one of the most coveted trophies in gaming – a World Series of Poker championship bracelet (designed by famous watchmaker Richard Mille).
The action kicks off Sunday, July 1 at 1:11 pm in the famed Amazon Ballroom in the Rio Convention Center at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
Among the players participating are: Cirque de Soleil founder Guy Laliberté; Treasure Island Resort owner Phil Ruffin, MGM Resorts International Chief Design & Construction Officer Bobby Baldwin; plus elite poker pros including: Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu and Mike Sexton.
The World Series of Poker is the gaming industry’s premier event, each year drawing tens of thousands of poker enthusiasts from around the globe to Las Vegas to compete for millions in prize money and the game’s most coveted trophy – a World Series of Poker champion’s bracelet.
