$188 Million Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold at Primm Valley Resort & Casino at Nevada State Line
The first Mega Millions jackpot of 2017 with an estimated jackpot of $188 million was sold at Primm Valley Resort & Casino Friday night at the Nevada state line.
The winning ticket matched all six numbers drawn: 17, 37, 53, 54, 61 with the Mega Ball 8. Lottery officials said this jackpot is estimated at $188 million, with $112 million in cash. This is the largest jackpot since the summer of 2016 when the payout was $536 million.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled for the winner, for our resort and our community,” says Whiskey Pete’s General Manager Stuart Richey. “We’ve long been known for helping our guests create memorable experiences and this is definitely one of them!”
Primm Valley and its three casinos have a long history as a first-stop gambling destination for millions of travelers heading to Las Vegas from California. About 40,000 cars per day drive by the Primm community, a little city in and of itself located just 40 miles south of Las Vegas. The casinos are typically busy around the clock with a mix of local customers and visitors traveling through the area -most of whom prefer a more intimate, classic Vegas-style casino.
