500th Performance Marks End to Slayton’s Run at Hooters Casino Hotel

The Pitbull of Comedy aka Bobby Slayton will be ending his rein of biting comedy at Hooters Casino Hotel on March 8, 2009. This last performance marks Slayton’s 500th show in the Night Owl Showroom.

Bobby Slayton has been the headliner at the Night Owl Showroom since it opened in spring of 2007. Mr. Slayton has been performing his politically incorrect style of comedy to packed houses every Wednesday through Sunday.

“I’m shooting a TV pilot and taping a DVD this spring. I haven’t played some of my favorite cities like New York, Chicago and L.A. for the last two years and I just received an offer to once again host the Nasty Show in Canada. It’s the Montreal Comedy Festival’s 25th Anniversary this year. When all that is done, I’m looking at a number of possibilities to return to Vegas. I’m sure by then my wife and daughter will have had enough of me! I love Las Vegas and can’t imagine not coming back here!!!” said Slayton.

Before coming to Hooters Casino Hotel, Bobby was voted “Funniest Male Stand-up Comic of the Year” by The American Comedy Awards. He has also appeared in movies such as “Get Shorty,” “Ed Wood,” “Bandits” and most recently “Dreamgirls.”

“Bobby Slayton has had a great run here at Hooters. His tremendous talents have contributed to the success of the Night Owl Showroom. We are sad to see Bobby go, but great talent like his can’t be limited to just one showroom.” said Gary Gregg, COO for Hooters Casino Hotel.

Over the next few months, Hooters Casino Hotel will be announcing a new line-up in the Night Owl Showroom.
