On Sunday night, hundreds of fans gathered on the D’s 3rd Street stage to “crash” 98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan and his fiancée Amy’s wedding.

As many listeners know, Chet and Amy actually had a wedding ceremony in Seattle last September. Unfortunately, the officiant forgot to sign and send in the marriage certificate, which means they were never technically married! So 98.5 KLUC teamed up with the D to throw Chet and Amy an amazing wedding and invited all of Las Vegas.

The affair began at 7 p.m. under the sparkling lights of Fremont Street Experience, transforming the 3rd St. Stage and the façade of the D with stunning white drapes, beautiful floral arrangements and dramatic lighting.

Chet and his bride walked down a red carpet to the stage, where they were wed by former mayor Oscar Goodman via a livestream. The happy couple was joined by friends, including Amy’s bridesmaids dressed pretty in pink, and hundreds of fans who came to party like true wedding crashers – with great drink specials by Miller, plenty of wedding cake and dancing all night long.

Following the ceremony and reception, the official newlyweds retreated to a luxurious two-bedroom penthouse suite at Golden Gate Hotel & Casino.
