AJ Lambert to Perform Her Grandfather Frank Sinatra’s Classic Albums at The Space in Las Vegas Monthly Beginning Friday, January 12, 2018
For the first time ever, multi-talented songstress and Frank Sinatra’s granddaughter, AJ Lambert will perform in Las Vegas with a monthly residency at The Space beginning Friday, Jan. 12. AJ will rotate between performing two of her grandfather’s albums – the 1955 pioneering concept album “In The Wee Small Hours,” as well as his 1958 album, “Only The Lonely.”

In this show, AJ shares her deeply intimate recollections of her grandfather Frank Sinatra, as only she can, while singing the iconic albums in their entirety with a voice all her own. The stripped-down presentation of Nelson Riddle’s classic arrangements (with piano accompaniment by John Boswell) allows for a rare opportunity for intimacy with these incredible pieces of American music. Whether you know the albums by heart or always wanted to know more, this show makes for a very rewarding evening.

“It is such an honor for me to be performing in the city that has become synonymous with my grandfather’s name,” said AJ. “He was one of Las Vegas’ first and most well-known resident artists and I am proud to continue his legacy by performing his music here.”

Pianist John Boswell has served as musical director for Judy Collins, Andy Williams, Bob Newhart, and a host of other fine talents. John played the role of “Moose” in the national tour of “Crazy For You” and has appeared on The Tonight Show, Today Show, CBS This Morning, Regis And Kathie Lee, General Hospital and was the piano playing hands of Nancy McKeon on the sit-com “The Facts of Life.” Recent concerts with symphonies have included “Jerry Herman: The Broadway Legacy Concert” and “Blockbuster Broadway.” Broadway/Off Broadway credits include “Crazy For You,” “The Secret Garden,” “LIZA! Steppin’ Out At Radio City Music Hall,” “Back To Bacharach And David” and “The Kathy And Mo Show: Parallel Lives.” John has eight CDs of original piano music and a ninth on the way. While a student at UCLA, John received the Frank Sinatra Award for popular instrumentalists.
