Allan Havey
Each week, The Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas showcases three of the funniest and freshest faces in comedy, creating a show that is always unique and definitely funny (Pictured: Allan Havey). The comedians who will perform August 6 – August 11 are:

Allan Havey: Allan Havey began his comedy career in New York in 1978 as part of the comedy duo Two for Nothing. Five years later, Havey began performing individual stand-up and quickly became a regular in clubs around the city. After being selected as one of the original hosts on Comedy Central in 1989, Havey created, hosted and produced “Night after Night with Allan Havey,” which ran for three years. Havey has showcased his comedy at the “Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” in Montreal and the “New York Comedy Festival” and has appeared on “Seinfeld,” “Viper,” “The Sarah Silverman Program,” “Men of a Certain Age” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” The New York Times describes Havey as “cocksure, irreverent and very funny.”

Mike Preminger

Mike Preminger: Mike Preminger is not just a stand-up comedian, but also a writer. Preminger’s career began in New York and he has since appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “The Merv Griffin Show,” “The Mike Douglas Show” and “The Dean Martin Summer Show.” After his children were born, Preminger focused on his writing career and co-wrote the film “Nothing in Common” starring Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason. Following the film, he and his writing partner wrote numerous television movies, including “Gleason,” a biopic about Jackie Gleason. However, Preminger has once again taken the stage and continued to do what he loves the most- making people laugh.

Risen has also performed alongside comedians such as Brad Garret and Ron White.
