American Carnage Tour: Slayer, Megadeath, Anthrax at The Pearl Oct. 20

Three-fourths of the “Big Four of Thrash” make their way to Las Vegas as part of The American Carnage Tour, where Slayer and Megadeth will perform with special guests Anthrax. The tour will make a stop at The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

Since their debut album in 1983, Slayer has released two live albums, a box set, four videos and eleven studio albums, four of which have received gold certification in the U.S. The band received four Grammy nominations, winning one Grammy in 2007 for the song “Eyes of the Insane” and another in 2008 for the song “Final Six.” They have played music festivals worldwide, including Unholy Alliance, Download and Ozzfest.

Megadeth was founded by guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson following Mustaine’s departure from Metallica. Megadeth went on to release a string of platinum and gold albums, including the platinum-selling landmark Rust in Peace in 1990 and the Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Countdown to Extinction in 1992. In 2009, the band released their twelfth studio album, titled Endgame which debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200. Megadeth’s “Head Crusher” was nominated for a 2010 Grammy.

Since their formation in 1981, Anthrax has sold more than 10 million records worldwide, been nominated for three Grammy Awards, played their music across the world with more than 50 tours and released 10 studio albums. In 1991, Anthrax became a household name when the band collaborated with Public Enemy on the rap group’s “Bring the Noise” breaking down the barriers between the styles of rap and metal. Anthrax recently welcomed back singer Joey Belladonna who defined the band during their heyday.
