Axis Of Awesome to Take Over The Lounge at The Palms Casino Resort

The Australian comedy trio Axis of Awesome will perform a set of free shows inside The Lounge at The Palms over Thanksgiving weekend (Playboy Comedy will be dark Nov. 25-27).

Presented by Playboy Comedy, Axis of Awesome have toured the world with their group made of three “human men who sing funny songs.” A recent performance at Los Angeles’ Laugh Factory had the audience in an uproar and resulted in a standing ovation.

Comedian Jordan Raskopoulos, classically trained musician Benny Davis and Iron Chef enthusiast Lee Naimo, came together to form Axis of Awesome in 2006. Since then, they have been wowing audiences across the world with their mixture of quirky original songs, catchy pop-parodies and hilarious banter.

Axis received the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Moosehead award in 2008 for their show “The Axis of Awesome Comeback Spectacular.” The group continued this success by performing the show to sell out audiences and rave reviews at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The videos of the group’s “4 Chords Song” have had more than 12 million hits on YouTube and their worldwide fan base continues to grow.

The shows will be held Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27 at 10 p.m. Both nights are free to the public (21 years of age and older) as a way for the Palms and Playboy Comedy to say “thanks” to Las Vegas for their support of the award-winning comedy show series.
