Backstreet Boys Presented With Keys to Las Vegas’ Iconic Strip; April 10 Declared as “Backstreet Boys Day” by Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson
Last night, the Backstreet Boys were surprised on stage at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino by longtime friend Michael Yo, who stopped the performance in order to celebrate the massive success of the band’s headlining Las Vegas residency show, “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life.”

The best-selling boy band of all time was presented with Keys to Las Vegas’ iconic Strip by Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson, who also officially declared Wednesday, April 10 as “Backstreet Boys Day.”

The celebration continues tomorrow when the Backstreet Boys will be immortalized within Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino as they participate in a handprint ceremony which will be displayed at the property alongside the handprints of other iconic celebrities. Additionally, the Backstreet Boys, along with Live Nation Las Vegas and Caesars Entertainment, will present the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV) with a final donation check at the event. Since the residency’s premiere in 2017, $1 of every ticket purchased to “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life” has been donated back to BGCSNV. The event will be held on the front steps of Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino lining the Las Vegas Strip at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 12, which also happens to be the 20th anniversary of the release of their mega hit, “I Want It That Way.”
