Brian McKnight to Perform at The Pearl at The Palms April 9, 2011
With seemingly endless talent and a worldwide fan base in the tens of millions, R&B sensation Brian McKnight is set to perform at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 8 p.m.
Brian McKnight has earned himself a spot in contemporary R&B music history, with sales of more than 20 million albums worldwide. McKnight’s studio releases, which many have crossed to platinum and multi-platinum status, show his versatility as an artist. His self-titled debut was released in 1992 and featured a duet with Vanessa Williams, “Love Is,” which was aired during an episode of 90201, setting the stage for McKnight’s crossover success to follow.
Three years later, his sophomore album I Remember You (1995) was McKnight’s first Top Ten R&B album. The release included two Top 20 R&B singles, “On the Down Low” and a cover of Van Morrison’s “Crazy Love.” In 1999, Back at One was released and its title track reached the top of The Billboard Hot 100 charts and many other studio albums, including two Christmas albums, followed. McKnight’s most recent album, Evolution of a Man, was released in 2009 and is just part of the success McKnight has had over the past few years as he continues to grow as a multi-talented artist; releasing music, touring in musical theater, hosting radio and television programs, following a touring solo schedule and even becoming a special red carpet correspondent for Extra.
McKnight has received awards and recognitions from some of the most highly respected industry outlets including the Grammys, Soul Train Awards, NAACP Image Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, BET Awards and the American Music Awards.
