Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas Announces First Installment of Summer Show Lineup
Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas
is bringing the heat with new additions to their summer show lineup. The diverse entertainment schedule will satisfy all music lovers with performances by Violent Femmes (May 3), Johnny Marr (May 18), Sleep (May 27) and Blue October (June 14) (Pictured: Sleep). 

VIOLENT FEMMES

Friday, May 3, at 7 p.m.

Violent Femmes started in 1981 and became one of the most consistently inventive and original bands of the era. The band has always stuck to their singular blend of folk and punk, sarcasm and spirituality. They gained attraction at their first performance in their hometown of Milwaukee at the Oriental Theatre. From there they released eight studio albums and more than a dozen iconic singles, such as “American Music, and “Blister in the Sun”.

JOHNNY MARR

Saturday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Singer, songwriter and musician Johnny Marr began his career at the age of 13 when he formed his first band in Ireland. He has been a member of several bands and is most famously known for forming The Smiths. Marr has since released many solo albums and was voted fourth best guitarist in the last three years by the British Broadcast Corporation in 2010.

SLEEP

Monday, May 27 at 7 p.m.

Sleep emerged in 1990 in San Jose, California. Evolved from the band Asbestosdeath, Sleep has since been described as the ultimate stoner rock band. After a reform in 2009, the band came back together with their fourth critically acclaimed album, The Sciences, which was released in 2018. Since then Sleep has been playing live and internationally.

BLUE OCTOBER

Friday, June. 14 at 7 p.m.

Alternative rock band Blue October has been on a journey of highs and lows since 1995. The group was once known for its stormy dynamic and self-destructive tendencies and couldn’t be more distinct from the band it used to be, today. Throughout their journey the group has had 11 top 40 singles and released several albums.
