California Native Wins $1 Million Playing Three Card Poker at Paris Las Vegas
Johnita Ejercito, a practicing attorney and nurse from Woodland Hills, Calif., hit the 6 Card Bonus jackpot on Sunday morning, resulting in a $1 Million payout for the single hand. Ejercito says she usually stays at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, but because she is a Total Rewards diamond member, she decided to stay at Paris Las Vegas this time for a change. Earlier in the weekend she attended Jubilee! at Bally’s as well.

The 6 Card Bonus side bet on Three Card Poker gives players the chance to win $1 Million with a total wager as small as $15 if they hit a super royal flush in diamonds: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. Additionally, $100,000 payouts are available for the super royal in hearts, clubs or spades. Analysts estimate a $1 Million winner approximately three times a year in both the Las Vegas and Atlantic City markets. Ejercito is the first to win the $1Million jackpot in Las Vegas and now the third lucky $1 Million winner Caesars Entertainment has paid out since the game debuted in Las Vegas last spring with two lucky winners already taking home the $1 Million prize in Atlantic City.
Ejercito says she plans on using the money to send her two daughters to London to get their Masters in Economics, and perhaps a few flights to visit them as well.
