Salgado performed for six years with Robert Cray’s band and as the lead vocalist for Santana. He has been nominated for several National Blues Awards by the Blues Foundation, including Soul Blues Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Janiva Magness

Janiva Magness

One of blues and R&B music’s premier artists, Janiva Magness possesses a raw and earthy voice that draws the crowd in from the first note. In 2009, she was honored as the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year and Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year. She is currently on an international tour promoting her new album “The Devil Is An Angel Too,” which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Blues Chart.

Grammy-nominated Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater is one of the world’s greatest bluesmen with his fierce guitar playing, soulful vocals and energetic performances. In 2001, he won the Blues Music Award for Contemporary Blues Male Artist of the Year. Mixing blues, rock, rockabilly, country and gospel into a genre he calls “rock-a-blues,” Clearwater continues to record and recently released “West Side Strut.”

Returning this year is Ironing Board Sam, who used an ironing board stand to support his keyboard during his early years of piano playing. After moving to New Orleans in 1974, he was dubbed “The Eighth Wonder of the World,” in response to his ability to strap the keyboard around his shoulders and walk throughout the club continuing to play his tunes and entertain the crowd.

While listening to the music, enjoy mouthwatering food and drinks from various vendors. H&H Barbeque will be grilling up its signature ribs, rib tips, hotlinks and macaroni and cheese. Seven Seas Seafood will serve Southern specialties including catfish and shrimp while Austin Blues BBQ will dish out BBQ brisket and “potato chip on a stick.” Keeping everybody cool is Mr. Frosty with soft serve ice cream, sundaes and milkshakes. Southern Wine and Spirits will bring out over a dozen different micro-brewed and craft-brewed beers and ciders. For those who cannot decide or simply want to try everything, the “Brews Sampler Pack” offers 10 eight-ounce samples for $20.
