Celebrate National Chicken Wing Day at Anchor Bar Las Vegas

Celebrate National Chicken Wing Day at Anchor Bar Las Vegas
National Chicken Wing Day
is fast approaching and on July 29th and there is no better place to celebrate than at Anchor Bar, the birthplace of the Original Buffalo Wing (Pictured: Teriyaki Sesame Wings).

Since 1964, Anchor Bar has been serving up their signature Buffalo wings that Teressa Bellisimo created on a whim. After her son Domenic and friends stopped by looking for a late night snack, Teressa took chicken wings, usually meant for the stock pot, fried them up, and coated them with a now famous special sauce to create the one and only Buffalo Wing.

As a result of that night, in 1977 Buffalo Mayor, Stan Makowski, proclaimed July 29th as National Chicken Wing Day.

Fast forward 38 years, and today Americans celebrate the wing year round by eating 27 billion wings over 100 million pounds. When laid end to end, that is enough chicken wings to circle the earth twice!

Celebrate National Chicken Wing Day with Buffalo Wings in Mild, Medium, Hot, Spicy Hot BBQ, or Suicidal; or with Anchor Bar’s exclusive Las Vegas wing flavors like Honey-Ginger, Salt & Pepper, Teriyaki Sesame.
