Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Tacos & Tequila, Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer and RHUMBAR
While the rest of the city is stuck celebrating the new year at one location, Drive This! Entertainment is going mobile and hopping on their bicycles to maneuver the busy Las Vegas Strip in order to celebrate at three local hot-spots on Saturday, Dec. 31 (Pictured above: Michael Frey and Craig Gilbert).
Drive This! Entertainment owners Craig Gilbert and Michael Frey will kick-off the end of the year celebration at their feisty Mexican restaurant, Tacos & Tequila, before heading to their newest venture, Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer, and will finish the night at their stylish cocktail lounge, RHUMBAR, inside The Mirage.
The celebration will begin with an East Coast countdown at Tacos & Tequila at Luxor Hotel and Casino. Guests will enjoy the first countdown on the West Coast inside the famous pyramid on the Strip with sombreros and plenty of tacos and tequila. The party begins at 6 p.m. culminating with a 9 p.m. PST New Year’s celebration where patrons can enjoy a complimentary shot of tequila.
Once partygoers have rung in 2012 East Coast style, guests will mount their two wheels and head next door to the Excalibur Hotel & Casino for a rocking good time at Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer. The party continues at the high-energy restaurant with live music, dancing bartenders, great food and an abundance of beer.
Revelers will then hit the road again to top the night off at RHUMBAR inside The Mirage for an unparalleled New Year’s Eve experience under the stars where they can ring in 2012 on the Strip-side patio. With the best views in town to watch the famed New Year’s Eve fireworks show, guests will dance the night away with DJ A+ manning the turntables and premium cocktails in hand.
In 2006, Michael Frey teamed up with Craig Gilbert to launch the food, beverage and entertainment company, Drive This! Entertainment (www.drivethisentertainment.com). Their first venture, Tacos & Tequila (www.tacosandtequilalv.com), opened at Luxor Hotel and Casino in October 2008. The highly-stylized restaurant has a fun, high-energy vibe, an array of margaritas, and an authentic Mexican menu. RHUMBAR (www.rhumbarlv.com), a highly-stylized cocktail lounge and patio at The Mirage, offers a Caribbean-inspired atmosphere and striking views of the Las Vegas Strip. Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer (www.lynyrdskynyrdlv.com), the company’s third venture, opens in December 2011 with a rustic décor and nightly entertainment. American Burger Works (ABX) also opens in December 2011 alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer, with a New-York style warehouse feel featuring all-American burgers and fries.
