Celebrities and Guests Make “Mike Hammer’s Celebrity Poker Tournament” a Huge Success
“Mike Hammer’s Celebrity Poker Tournament” was held on May 26 at Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. The event was attended by close to 80 players, including celebrities, VIPs and guests. The event was a fundraiser for the U.S. Vets. Mike Hammer said, “We made over $7,300 for the charity and over $10,000 with the Binion’s in-kind contribution. A great success and I would like to thank all involved in addition to those who came out to play to support our Veterans. Kevin Lepine was the winner of the tournament. Kevin is also the headliner at Binion’s.”

“I had a blast and was honored to be a celebrity in the poker event,” said Kevin Lepine. “Winning, while always fun, was much more exciting because it meant the first place prize money went directly to the U.S. Vets. To have a fun afternoon with great people was all the better because it was for sun an amazing cause.”

Players tried to “bust out” the celebrities and Binion’s donated $100 each time it happened. The game was No Limit Texas Hold’em with a $120 buy-in and unlimited $60 add-ins and re-buys during the first four levels. $50 from each paid entry plus $30 from all add-ons and re-buys were donated to the U.S. Vets Charity.
