Celebrity Sightings at the D Casino Hotel During NYE Weekend
With the new year just rolling in, it’s clear that downtown Las Vegas becomes an even bigger hot spot than it already is. That being said, the D Casino Hotel and the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center were sprinkled with stars this past weekend! Owner of both properties, Derek Stevens, hung out with rap icon Coolio in the VIP section of DLVEC’s EDM concert, Collective Zoo Presents: Us! Derek and his beautiful wife, Nicole, also snapped a pic with famous DJ, Boys Noize.

Back at the D, the one and only Chuck Zito was having some pre-New Year’s Eve fun with Hollywood stuntman, Pete Antico. There was definitely a lot of “action” when the casino guests spotted these guys! They also dined at the hotel’s top-rated restaurant, Andiamo Italian Steakhouse, where they enjoyed some delicious steaks made especially for tough guys.

It’s not clear what’s happening in this photo, but maybe this is what happens when Pete wouldn’t put Chuck in one of his movies! Afterwards, they stopped by the D’s entertaining LONGBAR, where they shared drinks and chatted with the 7 ft. 8 George Bell, from American Horror Story.

On New Year’s Eve, the downtown celebration just kept getting bigger! Award winning Adult film star, and 2000 “Penthouse Pet of the Year” runner up, Tera Patrick, started the party early at the casino and met with some of the D’s executives.

Tera enjoyed her stay at the D Hotel and so did her fans that got a chance to meet her and pose for photos with her.

Later that night, reality TV star, Horny Mike of “Counting Cars”, showed up in his most swagged-out gear. Looking brighter than fireworks, Mike!

As the clock crawled closer to midnight, the familiar faces grew. The talented Vegas entertainer, Zowie Bowie, and his beautiful singer, Jamie Lynch counted down to 2018 in style. They invited the D’s owner, Derek Stevens and his wife, Nicole, along with the mayor, Carolyn Goodman and her husband (former Mayor), Oscar Goodman, to join them. The president of Fremont Street Experience, Patrick Hughes, also took the stage for this monumental memory.

Fremont Street Experience has the world’s largest video screen, which came in handy when they played a touching recap of 2017 for the massive downtown crowd.

At 11:59 PM, the cutting-edge, 550,000-watt screen displayed a countdown to the new year, followed by some amazing pyro on the 3rd Street stage outside the D. Several news channels were on property to capture the magic, and indeed they did!

These newsworthy Vegas festivities seem to be the cherry on top of 2017. Only time will tell what 2018 has in store for Sin City. Cheers!
