Acclaimed chanteuse Melody Sweets will serve up an evening of tantalizing treats for all of your senses with The Sweets’ Spot, a one night only extravaganza at Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 10:00 pm.
The evening of decadence will be filled with dazzling eye candy, specialty cocktails, enchanting original music, classic covers, glamorous burlesque, kinky cabaret, and a variety of Vaudeville-style variety acts to satisfy your ‘Sweets’ tooth! Adding to the evening is Sweets’ All-Star Band featuring Emmy Award-nominee, Lon Bronson.
Sweets captivates audiences with a voice reminiscent of a golden era, but with a modern, eclectic edge that renders her sound timeless. Currently starring as the “Green Fairy” in the hit show, ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace, Melody brings an intimate, yet uninhibited production to the stage with this special performance at Cabaret Jazz.
The critically-acclaimed Sweets has been called “amazing” by music icon and Grammy Award-winner Sting, and has been featured in countless publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Las Vegas Magazine, and The Village Voice among others. An official objet d’art, Melody’s portrait can be seen hanging in museums nationwide, including the Smithsonian Museum of American History, Washington, DC and the Harvard Fogg Museum.
A lover of the arts, Melody has had the honor of performing for and collaborating with such acclaimed artists as STING, Bjork, Moby, Alice Cooper, The Bravery, Marc Jacobs, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, Adriana Lima and Harvey Keitel.
