Cirque du Soleil added to “Rock In Rio USA” line up May 8
Cirque du Soleil will kick off the U.S. debut of the legendary music festival Rock in Rio USA with a high energy, one-time-only performance on the Main Stage Friday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m. (Photo credit: © Erik Kabik Photography/www.erikkabik.com).
Performers from Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas productions will invade the festival’s Main Stage for a multi-sensory, never-before-experienced montage created specifically for Rock in Rio, featuring more than 30 performers including aerialists, acrobats, characters and live music. The 15 minute showcase will be a colorful celebration of art and music as it takes festival goers on a unique journey that only Cirque du Soleil can offer.
“It’s exciting to blend the talents of Cirque du Soleil artists from all of our Las Vegas productions and to be included in this iconic event,” said Sandi Croft, Artistic Director for Cirque du Soleil’s Rock in Rio USA performance. “This unique collaboration will create an unforgettable festival experience for fans.”

Performances on the Main Stage and Mercedes Benz Evolution Stage will alternate timing, allowing audiences to see every performance on the lineup.
