“In the 1940s, alluring, shoulder-length locks were the trend,” says Claude Baruk, managing director of Claude BARUK Salons. “For Valentine’s Day, we are combining that style with long hair that falls all the way down the back, using cold fusion extensions to deliver healthy, natural looking hair.”

“Another classic, romantic touch are hair accessories such as a jeweled headband worn over the hair or to accentuate hair that is half-up, half down,” says Baruk. “I think you’ll see this trend on a lot of red carpets this season, as well.”
Complementing the hair and consistent with classic Hollywood glamour are bold lips, but again Baruk suggests reimagining the look. “This isn’t just the traditional red lip,” says Baruk. “It’s topping rich colors with a glittery gloss or going with metallic lipsticks.” Baruk suggests subtle, romantic eye makeup to finish the look, using liquid eyeliner on the top lid to accentuate lashes.
