Coaches of NHL Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Islanders Dine at Andiamo Italian Steakhouse
Downtown Las Vegas’ reputation of being the “hockey hot spot” still holds true! When the jaw-dropping Vegas Golden Knights are not dining at the D Casino Hotel’s award-winning Andiamo Italian Steakhouse, other NHL teams (and their coaches) can’t resist stopping by! From goalie, Cam Talbot, of the Edmonton Oilers, to ALL of the Detroit Red Wings, to players of the Toronto Maple Leafs, many talented athletes have “scored” with Andiamo’s iconic 32-oz. Tomahawk steaks!
Most recently, however, head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets, John Tortorella, and assistant coach, Brad Shaw, had to see what the NHL hype was all about downtown! Plus, they figured a high-quality meal such as this would fuel them up to coach a great match against the Vegas Golden Knights. John and Brad also met up with the D’s owner, Derek Stevens. The three men had a great chat about Las Vegas, the D’s partnership with the Golden Knights, and their love for the same sport.
If you remember, the Florida Panthers’ CEO and coaching staff decided to grace the downtown hot spot prior to their December game against the Golden Knights!

The next “Knight”, another NHL coaching staff had a “goal” to dine at the city’s top-rated Italian Steakhouse! New York Islanders coaches, Fred Braithwaite (goalie coach), Luke Richardson (assistant coach), and Scott Gomez (assistant coach) got their “sizzling” Vegas fix. How else would they prepare for an intense game against the Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena?

They were accompanied by their friend, and D Executive Casino Host, Darren Banks. As a matter of fact, Darren used to be a winger for the Boston Bruins, so these guys certainly had a lot to discuss.
Over the past few months, the D Casino Hotel has been bombarded with hockey players and coaches from everywhere. Maybe all these NHL teams are just trying to figure out the Vegas Golden Knights’ record-breaking secret! Who’s next to come visit Andiamo when the “steaks” are high?
