Comedy-Magician Adam London’s “Laughternoon” Wraps up Its Year of Giving This Holiday Season and Breaks Guinness World Record
On November 17, 2018, Comedy-Magician Adam London and his wife, Alana, sponsored an effort by the student at Eileen B. Brookman Elementary School to break the world record for the longest link of pipe cleaners.
In March, students, staff and parents connected pipe cleaners – each block of 10 representing every book a student had read and passed a comprehension test with a score of 80 percent or higher, during the school year. The connected chain of pipe cleaners measured 59,382 feet – or more than 11 miles.
On Tuesday, November 27, the school will participate in a ceremony to honor all 776 students for their part in setting the world record. 10 a.m. at Eileen B. Brookman Elementary School.
December 8 – I GIVE A DUCK
Adam London’s Laughternoon at the D Las Vegas is gearing up for its final installation of the “I Give A Duck” promotion. Throughout 2018, Laughternoon partnered with 12 different local charities. On the second Saturday of each month, ticket proceeds from Laughternoon were donated to the designated charity.
As of the end of November, Laughternoon has donated over $7,500 to 11 different charities. December 8 will conclude “I Give A Duck” by honoring Speedway Children’s Charities. 4 p.m. at the D Las Vegas.
