Peter White
Saturday, June 16

Smooth jazz and jazz fusion guitarist Peter White began playing a variety of musical instruments at a young age, including the clarinet, trombone, violin and piano. Being inspired by legendary rock group’s The Beatles and The Rolling Stones of the ‘60s, White gravitated to the guitar and began to hone his skills on the instrument, studying the recording of reigning guitar legends like Crosby, Stills and Nash, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell.

In 1975, White began playing with British folk-rock musician Al Stewart’s band as a keyboardist and went on to co-write numerous songs with Stewart, including the 1978 hit “Time Passages,” and together formed the band Shot in the Dark after moving to Los Angeles, Calif. In 1990, White started his solo career, releasing his first album “Reveillez-Vous.” The jazz artist went on to release numerous acclaimed albums, including “Excusez-Moi,” “Glow,” “Confidential” “Here We Go,” “Smile” and his latest album “Groovin’,” featuring a collection of guitar-centric interpretations of timeless compositions from those halcyon years of the ‘50s to the ’80s.

Audiences will enjoy White’s combination of lyricism and energy as he combines elements of jazz, pop and classical guitar to create his signature acoustic sound. White will also perform some of his best-loved hits, including “Bright,” “Mister Magic,” “What Does it Take (To Win Your Love)” and “Heads Over Heels.” White will also perform hit songs from his newest album “Groovin’,” including “Do I Do.”

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25 plus tax and fees, and luxury booths are also available. Guests 21 or older may purchase tickets by calling 702.692.7777 or visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
